Accel Animation Studios a division of Accel Transmatic Ltd. has announced that it has entered into an agreement with 'Monster Distributes' an international television series financing and distribution company based in Ireland, for the worldwide distribution of 'Ek Tha Jungle', the 3D animated 26 episodes television series based on morals from Thirukkural, renamed as Indian Fables. The international agreement with Monster is valid for a period of three years and includes Television, home video rights for the series in 3D/CGI, HD format. "Indian Fables" is based on centuries old classics rich in moral and traditional values, presented in a highly entertaining short story format that is appealing to all. This Accel owned Intellectual Property (IP) has been developed and produced in-house at the world-class facilities of Accel Animation Studios in Chennai.
Accel Animation’s Chairman Mr. N. R. Disney Channel acquires Accel Animation's 'Ek Tha Jungle'

Disney Channel is all set to reintroduce the younger generation to the centuries old ancient Tamil literature- Thirukkural with the first ever animated TV series based on this celebrated text. The series developed as animal fables by Accel Animation Studios, Chennai, is titled "Ek Tha Jungle" and showcases couplets from Thirukkural - one of the most important and celebrated works in Tamil literature written by noted Tamil poet, Sri Thiruvalluvar. Each episode has a universal theme presented in modern day, 3D animated format.
Set for a premiere on Disney Channel on April 5, 2010 at 9.30 am (Monday to Thursday), every episode of 'Ek Tha Jungle' showcases a universal theme and strong life lessons. The stories are laced around strong ethics and family values with a moral that is applicable to the present and future generations.

Thirukkural is considered to be the first work to focus on family values
in Tamil literature and has been translated into several languages
across the world. Each story of Ek Tha Jungle establishes a 'Kural'
(couplet) from Thirukkural told through animal characters in a visually
appealing, entertaining way. Some popular stories include ‘The Clever
Monkey', 'The Helping Bear' and 'The Rabbit and the Tortoise'.

Accel Animation Studios in strategic alliance with Hollywood based global distributor Long Tale to develop, co-produce and distribute animated movies.

Accel Animation Studios, a division of Accel Transmatic Limited and engaged in 3D animation content development and visual effects (VFX) has announced that it has forged a strategic alliance with Long Tale International, a Los Angles, California based movie distribution house to develop, co-produce and distribute animation movies for the global market.
As per the MOU signed on April 4th in Chennai, the company will produce 133 episodes of Thirukkural based stories and the same will be distributed by Long Tale to global audiences.
It will also jointly develop and co-produce an English language animation feature film, named "Cityzens" in association with Los Angeles based Netrikan Entertainment and with Mr Omar Kaczmarczyk, Managing Director of Long Tale as executive producer.
The strategic alliance also envisages, Accel Animation Studios to provide digital re-mastering services for Long Tale’s Shockwave Collection of digital assets.
Accel Animation Studios, which was set up in July 2006, already has a portfolio of successfully completed projects that include 40 minutes of visual effects with single character animation for an upcoming Hindi feature film titled Friends for Ever to be released shortly.It is also in the final stages of completing "Raju the AutoRikshaw"- a full length animated DVD movie for Kahani World, Toronto, Canada.
Accel Animation Studios is in the process of expanding its capabilities and infrastructure to include motion capture, chroma key studio, video and audio recording, post production, film scanning and recording to become an integrated service provider for the animation and gaming industry.

The production unit christened as Accel Animation Studios will be set up with an initial investment of Rs.25 Million, will employ 50 animators to begin with. The number of animators will be increased to 100 by 2007 and to 300 by 2008 with a total investment of Rs.100 Million.
The company is also setting up an Animation Academy as part of the initiative, to ensure availability of trained manpower for the venture.
